CourtListener MCP (Self-Hosted)

Open-source community MCP server for CourtListener — run it locally or on your own infrastructure.

Legal ResearchFreeVerified Jul 28, 2026

A community-built, MIT-licensed alternative to the official CourtListener MCP server, for firms and developers who want the server under their own control. Written in TypeScript with 49 tools covering opinion search, dockets, judges, and citation lookups, and it runs three ways: locally over stdio, self-hosted over HTTP, or deployed as a Cloudflare Worker with OAuth. Ships with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, CI, Docker packaging, and health/metrics endpoints. You supply your own CourtListener API token, so data access and rate limits stay on your account rather than a third party's. Actively maintained as of July 2026.
